PRINCETON — Myron J. Hard, 69, of Princeton died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.
He was born Sept. 18, 1949, in Princeton, the son of Carl Edward and Ruby (Carlson) Hard. He married Barbara A. Phillips on Feb. 21, 1971, in Ohio, Ill.
Myron was employed for over 30 years by the city of Princeton Electric Department, retiring as superintendent of generation. He enjoyed woodworking.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; their daughter, Heather Hard (Paul Hill) of Princeton; their son, Scott Hard of Princeton; his granddaughter, Kaelynn Geheber (Derrick Eckberg); and his brother, Ron (Linda) Hard of Wyanet.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant sister, Elaine.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut. The funeral will follow at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, at the funeral home. Burial will conclude at Elm Lawn Memorial Park in Princeton.
A memorial will be established in his memory.
