Paul Williams

VAN ORIN — Paul C. Williams, 61, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton after battling cancer.

He was born April 1, 1957, to Donald and Mary Williams.

He was a LaMoille High School graduate in the class on 1975, and for many years, Paul worked construction for Union Local 76. Paul enjoyed much of his life drinking beer, fishing and spoiling his cat, Socks.

Paul was the father to Jamie Law of Morrisonville; grandfather to Bry Williams of Bourbonnais, Michael Law of Walnut and Kaden Lawson of Morrisonville; and brother to Walter Fogle of El Segundo, Calif., Dave (Judy) Fogle of Van Orin, Jim (Bonnie) Williams of Belvidere and Mark Williams of Peru. Paul was also the caretaker of his beloved and spoiled cat, Socks.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Mary, as well as his stepfather, Earnest Halley.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the Van Orin Gospel Church, Main Street, Van Orin. Josh Simpkins will be officiating. Burial will follow at Van Orin Repose Cemetery and Bache Memorial Chapel. The family will greet friends and family from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Van Orin Gospel Church.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to those who have helped care for Paul during his fight with cancer. Specifically, Paula Fischer and Judy Fogle, for their constant and loving care.
