TISKILWA — The public is invited to attend Farm Learning Day at Hungry World Farm in Tiskilwa.
The theme deals with food and service organizations working with hunger needs near and around the world.
For some people, finding and buying food presents many challenges. Plan to hear how food is shared with people in need throughout Bureau County from Vanessa Hoffeditz of the Tri-County Opportunities Council; in the Metamora area from Don Schertz of Open Arms Food Pantry; in the African country of Zimbabwe from Nomakhosi Ndolvu, Hungry World Farm intern; and other places around the world.
The spring 2019 Farm Learning Day at Hungry World Farm will be held Saturday, March 23. The schedule will be: 8:45 a.m., gather; 9 a.m., introductions; 9:10 a.m., presentations; 10:10 a.m., break; 10:30 a.m., panel discussion, 11:15 a.m., Hungry World Farm update; lunch; depart. A light lunch will be provided.

Hungry World Farm Learning Days are organized with the purpose to learn about some aspect of human hungers for food, relationships and deep spiritual meaning. The farm is located one-half mile east and one-half mile south of Tiskilwa at 19183 Plow Creek Road.
