City council candidates invited to March 16 forum

Favia, Gomez, Neumann, Swift seeking two seats on April 2 ballot

PRINCETON — A Candidates Forum for the four candidates running for two available Princeton City Council seats on the April 2 ballot has been announced.

Incumbent city council members Laura Favia and Jerry Neumann and non-incumbents Hector Gomez and Robin Swift have been invited to participate in a forum that will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 16 at the Princeton Public Library.

The Bureau County Republican and Voices from the Prairie are partnering to organize the event.

Favia, Neumann, Gomez and Swift will give opening statements and then be asked questions posed by Voices from the Prairie members, the BCR staff and members of the audience.

Voices from the Prairie conducted a number of candidate forums during the 2017-18 election cycle. The Bureau County Republican has been involved in organizing candidate forums in recent years, carrying on a pre-election tradition previously performed by the League of Women Voters.
