Obituaries

Leila Neuhalfen

PRINCETON — Leila Kay Neuhalfen, 78, of Princeton died at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at her home following a three-year battle with cancer.

Born Sept. 30, 1940, in Princeton to Raymond W. and Ruth L. (Littell) Smith, she married Russell L. Neuhalfen on Dec. 13, 1958, in Seatonville. He survives.

She worked at the Seatonville Greenhouse for 25 years and then operated Lee’s Greenhouse in rural Princeton for 12 years. She was a graduate of Princeton High School.

Also surviving are a daughter, Deb (Dom) Del Fiacco of Princeton; a son, Dennis (Cathi) Neuhalfen of Toddville, Iowa; five grandchildren, including a special granddaughter, Melissa Brock; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Donald Smith; and a sister, Nancy Fenton.

There will be no services. The Barto Funeral Home in Spring Valley is assisting the family.
