OGLESBY — Women at our BEST, a local Christian women’s group, will present “Broken Yet Bold” from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, May 6, at the Oglesby Union Church, 100 W. Walnut St. This will be the second gathering of the 2019 series, “Springs of Living Water.” There is no charge to attend, no membership, free child care and all area women are welcome.
The featured speaker, Carmen Grey of Princeton, will present the evening’s key message. She is wife to Buc, mother to five children, ranging in age from 8 to 19, and part-time registered nurse. Both Buc and Carmen feel led to minister to young people. Buc is the director of Young Life, where Carmen leads a Bible study for teen girls. She also leads a Bible study for adult women. This will be Carmen’s first time speaking for BEST. She will present “Broken Yet Bold,” as she explores women of God.
The evening will also include a Bible Talk, worship music, fellowship, and a fresh fruit and brownie bar. Linda Mudge of Cedar Point will lead the Bible Talk, “Sweet Connection” about Christian fellowship. She is a wife, mother and grandmother, retired math professor and junior high Sunday school teacher.
