‘We need to trust and stay true to our core beliefs’

To the editor:

I want to explain what I wrote recently, that institutions are imploding in our world, before our very eyes. It was Sister Lucia, in the third secret of Fatima, who said that the problems in religion and the world, would be the loss of faith.

To have faith, we need to trust and stay true to our core beliefs, which is believe in God and the Bible principles. Faith is a complete trust or confidence in someone, and it is in trusting in something you cannot prove.

After the resurrection, Jesus appeared to the disciples, and when the disciples said they saw the Lord, Thomas, who wasn’t with them, said, “If I do not see the scars of the nails in his hands and put my finger where the nails were and my hand in his side, I will not believe.”

A week later, Thomas was with the disciples when the Lord appeared and he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here and look at my hands and then stretch out your hand and put it in my side. Stop doubting and believe.” Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Do you believe because you see me? How happy are those who believe, without seeing me!”

According to Cardinal Robert Sarah, the church needs reform that must begin by a reform of the life of her priests. Priests must be possessed by the desire of holiness, for perfection in God and fidelity to the doctrine of him who has chosen them.

He also says that the West is blinded by science, technology, and the thirst for riches. At the same time, the silent tragedy of abortion and euthanasia continues, and pornography and gender ideology destroy children and adolescents. For a country that denies its faith is destined to destruct.

Cardinal Sarah finishes by saying, “In the disaster, and confusion and darkness of our world, we must find the light that shines through this darkness, and it is he who said, ‘I and the way, the truth, and the life.’” Follow him.

I would like to see the fallen-away Catholics, and the doubting Thomases of the world, to stop doubting and believe in Jesus Christ, and to see him as “my Lord and my God.”
