Loftus wins Pow Wow Days 5K

Jenna Loftus, 15, a sophomore-to-be at Princeton High School, was the first female finisher in the Pow Wow Days 5K on Aug. 3.

She had a top time of 23:48.5, placing 12th overall.

Drew Toohill, 18, of Bloomington was the male winner with a time of 17:38.7. Runner-up Brian Taylor, 35, of Princeton came in at 20:11.2.

Bob James, 53, of Princeton (24:22.9) and Janet Lohaus, 64, of Putnam (37:30.8) were the top male and female Tiskilwa alumni finishers.

Age group winners were:

• 13 and under: Augustus Swanson, 11, Princeton, 21:51.9 (sixth overall); and Emmalee Joiner, 12, Malden, 28:22.8.

• 14-18: Mack Williams, 15, Princeton, 20:32.8 (third overall); and Emme Bottom, 17, Mendota, 37:24.

• 19-24: Colin Nelson, 19, Princeton, 20:54.1 (fourth overall); and Brenna Rieker, 20, Tiskilwa, 27:45.3.

• 25-29: Dylan Fawcett, 26, Peoria (Princeton), 23:00.1; and Elizabeth Fawcett, 26, Peoria, 29:11.8.

• 30-34: Keith Varland, 33, Princeton, 22:34.6; and Jamie Munson, 31, Princeton, 24:13.

• 35-39: Brian Taylor, 35, Princeton, 20:11.2; and Olivia Johnston, 37, Princeton, 44:36.3.

• 40-44: Dan Kniss, 43, Princeton, 22:26.3; and Rachel Waca, 40, Princeton, 24:12.8.

• 45-49: Eric Henderson, 46, Geneseo, 24:34.2; and Mary Joiner, 47, Malden, 28:36.5.

• 50-54: Mike Toohill, 54, Bloomington, 23:00.2; and Amy Prusator, 52, Mendota, 26:25.4.
