Junior high students launch winter accessory drive for United Way

Coats, hats, gloves donations are sought

A donation tree for coats, hats, gloves, scarves and so forth has been set up by the Bureau Valley Junior High School Student Council, which teamed up with Bureau County United Way on the project. Donations can be taken to Bureau Valley Junior High School, located at 9080 2125 North Avenue, Manlius; the Bureau County United Way office, located in Princeton City Hall, 2 S. Main St.; and at Walnut Acres Country Store, located at 5 Yerk St., Walnut.

MANLIUS — The Bureau Valley Junior High School Student Council is teaming up with Bureau County United Way to accept winter accessory donations for the agencies served by United Way.

Items include coats, hats, gloves, scarves and so forth. With a wide variety of agencies the United Way supports, donations will go to Bureau County residents of all ages.

The majority of need is in children. However, there are some agencies needing items for whole families, such as Freedom House. The winter accessories drive is ongoing until Nov. 26.

Drop-off locations are at the Bureau County United Way office, located in Princeton City Hall, 2 S. MaináSt.; Bureau Valley Junior High School, located at 9080 2125 North Avenue, Manlius; and at Walnut Acres Country Store, located at 5 Yerk St., Walnut.
