TISKILWA — David “DJ” Leslie Wheeler, 18, of Tiskilwa died on Monday, March 19, 2007, in Princeton.

He was born Dec. 6, 1988, in Princeton to David Wheeler and Durita (Newhalfen) Wheeler-Sendelbach.

He was a senior at Princeton High School, where he had been a member of the Tigers wrestling team. He was also a member of St. Louis Catholic Church.

He is survived by his parents, Durita and Steve Sendelbach; one brother, Kyle Wheeler; his paternal grandparents, George and Colleen Wheeler, Adelaide and Kent Flanigan, and Norman Sendelbach; his maternal grandparents, Joyce and Pete Newhalfen; aunts and uncles, Nate (Amanda) Newhalfen, Tim Newhalfen, Carrie (Jared) Fidler, Liz (Robbie) Bierman, Deb (Greg) Rose, Tim Bundy, Scott Bundy, Karla (Alex) Elizondo and Cheryl (Dave) Neven; and many cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Louis Catholic Church, Princeton. Burial will be in the Putnam Cemetery in Putnam.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, in the Norberg Memorial Home, Princeton, with a scripture reading and prayer at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials may be directed to the Bureau County D.A.R.E. Program.
