Auxiliary and Legion set meetings for Wednesday

PRINCETON — American Legion Unit 125 Auxiliary President Clara Pease will conduct the unit’s regular business meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the post home, 1549 W. Peru St., Princeton.

A report will be heard from unit delegate Agnes Dunn, who attended the Department of Illinois Auxiliary Convention in Peoria recently.

Installation of officers will be conducted by past unit president Codie Carroll at this meeting. Those officers being installed are: Clara Pease, president; Norma DeRose, vice president; Nettie Fredrickson, secretary; Agnes Dunn, treasurer; Idella Stevens, chaplain; Norma Lorenzen, sergeant at arms; and Carol Allicks, historian.

The unit is beginning its eighth year after being reorganized in 2000.

Members are reminded to bring in their donations for all ongoing programs to keep them active. Without donations the programs will be terminated.

Legion meeting

American Legion Post 125 will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the post home.

Legionnaires are reminded that they to are welcome to donate to any or all of the programs the Auxiliary is participating in. For information or a list, members should call Carol.

The Legion building is available for rent for your upcoming reunions, family holiday meals, rummage sales, smaller wedding receptions, anniversary and birthday parties, fundraisers, seminars, bridal and baby showers, monthly meetings and health clinics.
