Holton Rosenquist

TISKILWA — Holton Albee Rosenquist, 83, of Tiskilwa died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007, at Colonial Hall Nursing Center in Princeton after a brief stay.

Born July 22, 1924, in Princeton to Walter E. and Miriam Albee Rosenquist, he married Cherry Ann Landis Aug. 5, 1945, in Tiskilwa. She died March 9, 1990.

He  graduated from Bradford High School in 1942 and attended Bradley Polytechnic Institute where he studied civil engineering. He was a farmer in Wheatland Township and opened Country Lane Antiques in 1960. He moved to Tiskilwa in 1973 where he started a woodworking and antique furniture restoration business.

He was a member of the Tiskilwa Masonic Lodge, Tiskilwa Lions Club, and St. Jude Episcopal Church. He also served on the Tiskilwa Village Board.

Survivors include one son, David (Pat) of Chester, Va.; two grandsons, Jared (Stacey) of Manassas, Va., and Colin (Ange) of San Francisco, Calif.; and three great-granddaughters, Rachel, Jessica, and Jillian of Manassas, Va.

Graveside services will be held at a later time with burial in Mount Bloom Cemetery in Tiskilwa.
