Workers of Sam Beetz and Sons begin harvesting this year’s seed corn for Pioneer at a field south of Princeton Thursday. An employee said Thursday was the first day of harvest for the group, which is when the harvest usually begins. The nine truckloads from this field were destined for the Good Hope plant near Macomb.
