GFWC Woman's Club

PRINCETON — The GFWC Woman’s Club of Princeton will meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Freedom House, 440 Elm Place, Princeton.

Freedom House Director Connie Doran will present the program and provide a tour of the facility. The social committee of Marian Lovgren, Jean Bates, Mary Elmendorf and Idella Stevens will serve refreshments. Members will bring gifts for Freedom House and also for the Veterans Home in LaSalle.

Last month’s program was presented by Mike Kohr of rural Princeton, who told about Native American history and culture. He brought interesting information and artifacts to show with his presentation. Members also brought artifacts and Native American crafts to show.

A committee was arranged to plan for participation in the Nov. 30-Dec 1 Festival of Trees to be held at the Elk’s Club. Members were invited to take art work, photography and crafts to the GFWC District 16 Winter meeting in Chillicothe on Dec. 6.
