PRINCETON — “More of Our Favorite Songs” will be presented at the Prairie Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 3 p.m. Sunday. This event is a fundraising activity for the Prairie Arts Center building fund.

“More of Our Favorite Songs” is a follow-up concert to last year’s concert, “Our Favorite Songs”. This year’s concert will feature eight performers singing their own three-song set. The eclectic selection of songs includes music from Broadway, pop, movies and folk music, as well as original music. Selections will include “Over the Rainbow,” “Some Enchanted Evening,” “Corner of the Sky,” “Don’t Mess Around With Jim,” “The Way You Look Tonight,” “Hey There,” “Can’t Say No” and “At Last”.

Performing in this year’s concert are vocalists Karen Glover, Lesley Gonigam, Dorothy Nelson, Curran Reichert, Phil Kaufmann, Ron McCutchan, Bill Nelson and Adam Webber. The group will be accompanied by Kathy Allen, Sheila Johnson and Adam Webber. Webber and Kaufmann will accompany themselves on keyboard and guitar, respectively. This talented group brings many years of performing experience in a variety of venues, including school, church, choral, concert, theater, film and television.

A $7 donation is requested for the performance. Reservations are suggested and can be made by calling the Prairie Arts Council at (815) 875-2787. Callers should leave a name and phone number along with the number of seats they are requesting.
