Bruin Cuties to cheer during halftime

St. Bede Academy cheerleaders are sponsoring a cheerleading event for girls in kindergarten through fifth grade. As a Bruin Cutie, grade-school girls can dance and cheer at a basketball game with the Academy cheerleaders. The 2008 Bruin Cuties will perform Feb. 5 at the Academy during halftime of the St. Bede vs. Ohio basketball game. Prior to their performance, Bruin Cuties will attend two practices, from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and again from 6 to 8 p.m. on Feb. 4, in the Academy school building. The fee for the cheerleading event is $25. This will include cheering lessons and a T-shirt for each girl to wear the night of the performance. Registration fees and forms must be received or brought to the first practice on Wednesday. Forms were distributed to local grade schools or can also be obtained at St. Bede.
