Bruin Cuties to cheer during halftime

St. Bede Academy cheerleaders are sponsoring a cheerleading event for girls in kindergarten through fifth grade. As a Bruin Cutie, grade-school girls can dance and cheer at a basketball game with the Academy cheerleaders. The 2008 Bruin Cuties will perform Feb. 5 at the Academy during halftime of the St. Bede vs. Ohio basketball game. Prior to their performance, Bruin Cuties will attend two practices, from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and again from 6 to 8 p.m. on Feb. 4, in the Academy school building. The fee for the cheerleading event is $25. This will include cheering lessons and a T-shirt for each girl to wear the night of the performance.
