Marie Mills

BUDA — Marie Frances Mills, 79, of Buda died at 8:27 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008, at Liberty Village in Princeton.

Born Dec. 17, 1928, in Xenia, Ohio, to John and Gladys (Keckler) Spears, she married William Burl Mills Dec. 17, 1966, Taylorville. He died Sept. 3, 1986.

She had been a waitress, cook, homemaker, meter reader for REA, custodian for GTE and worked security for Van Packer in Buda.

She was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Sheffield.

Surviving are one daughter, Marie A. “Penny” (William G.) Wright of Sheffield; two sisters, Barbara Keaffabar of Tiskilwa and Mildred Rutter of Carey, Ohio; one brother, John Small of Florida; two grandchildren, Ronnie (Divinia) Wright of Winchester, Calif., and Shelley Wright of Gaylord, Mich.; and seven great-grandchildren, Jiovanni Aldazabal, Ronnie Wright Jr., Kasandra Wright, Lee Wright, Kristina Wright, Emily Martin and Tristan Wright.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Wyanet, with the Rev. Dr. James Galbreath officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Wyanet.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
