Scott Roberts

ROCKFORD — Nine Rockford College students, including Scott Roberts of Buda, attended the Midwest Model United Nations conference Feb. 13-16.

Roberts, who is a second-year member of the Rockford College’s UN team, is serving as president this year. He helped organize this year’s trip.

The Model United Nations is a collegiate organization designed to furnish a structure and forum for students to work on the most pressing international issues. Students assume the role of another nation’s delegation for a perspective of the difficulties and complexities of international relations.

Roberts, the son of Ernie Roberts and Rita Roberts of Buda, is a 2005 graduate of Bureau Valley High School in Manlius.
