Dennis Shives

PRINCETON — Dennis A. Shives, 58, of Princeton died at 10:40 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2008, at Colonial Hall Care Center in Princeton.

He was born Dec. 24, 1949, in Princeton to Carter and Eloise (Kuhn) Shives.

He was a self-employed insurance salesman. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany in the 1970s.

He was a member of Community Bible Church in Wyanet and Princeton Elks, and was a charter member of the Indian Hills Golf Course in Tiskilwa. He was a certified scuba diver and served as vice president of the Tiskilwa Jaycees.

Surviving are two sons, Neil Dennis Shives and Matthew A. Shives, both of Tiskilwa; and one brother, Gary Shives of Princeton.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Fiocchi-Jensen Funeral Home, Princeton. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Wyanet, with military honors by the Princeton Veterans Memorial Group.

Visitation will be Friday from noon until the time of services in the funeral home.
