Annual meeting

PRINCETON — The American Legion Auxiliary District 16 annual spring meeting will be in Bradford at Post 445 on Saturday. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. and the business meeting will begin at 9 a.m. Members are asked to bring an item for the “Ways and Means” table. Memorial service

PERU — Illinois Valley Community Hospital will host an interfaith memorial service at 7 p.m. June 5 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Peru. The candlelight service will be in remembrance of IVCH and Illinois Valley Hospice patients who have died recently. Family members, friends and clergy are invited to participate. Ron Rager, IVCH pastoral care coordinator, will lead the service. For more information, call Rager’s office at (815) 780-3426. Participants are encouraged to bring photos or other items commemorating their loved ones for placement on a memorial table. Refreshments will be served.

Bake sale

OHIO — The Ohio Public Library will have a bake sale and lemonade stand from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The proceeds from the bake sale will go toward the Ohio Library Summer Reading Program. Donations will be accepted.

Childbirth class

PRINCETON — In an effort to accommodate busy expectant parents, Perry Memorial Hospital will present a “Partners In Childbirth” class from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. June 14 at the hospital. The purpose of this class is to alleviate any fears or misconceptions about childbirth, to provide techniques for relaxation and bonding with a coach during labor and delivery, and to prepare expectant parents for the arrival and care of their new infant. Interested parties must pre-register by calling (815) 876-2282.
