PERU — Tom McGunnigal, St. Bede Academy admission director, has announced 16 St. Bede sophomores have become student ambassadors. They join a group of juniors who have already experience one year as ambassadors.

The new junior ambassadors team consists of Bridget Burgess, the daughter of Tim and Mary Burgess of Utica; Kara Dudek, the daughter of Mark and Lori Dudek of LaSalle; Jenna Ebener, the daughter of Bill and Lisa Ebener of Oglesby; Casey Ficek, the son of Duke and Maribeth Ficek of Oglesby; Laura Ford, the daughter of Gary and Rita Ford of Tonica; Pierce Ganassin, the son of Scott and Linda Ganassin of Peru; Jani Hurst, the daughter of Rena Foster of Peru and John Hurst of LaSalle; Claire Kunkel, the daughter of Steve and Mary Kunkel of Lostant; Ashley Pearson, the daughter of Steve and Lisa Pearson of Peru; Paul Perona, the son of Paul and Joanne Perona of LaSalle; Bekki Prokup, the daughter of Bill and Bonnie Prokup of Peru; Maggie Pryde, the daughter of Bill and Mary Pryde of LaSalle; Emily Sons, the daughter of Shawn and Janel Sons of DePue; Lucy Stanke, the daughter of Scott Stanke and Mary Alice Mueller of Spring Valley; Jillian Stariha, the daughter of Mike and Resa Stariha of LaSalle; and J.P. Tiger, the son of Blair and Carolyn Tiger of Spring Valley.

The senior ambassador team members for 2008-2009 are Alex Carretto, Ky Ceresa, Megan Considine, Max Duncan, Angie Eattoni, Laura Hollander, Molly Mauck, Molly Payton, Anna Perino, Jordan Shaw, Josh Slevin, Jaclyn Snell and Katherine Toraason.

St. Bede Academy Student Ambassadors are a select group of St. Bede junior and senior students, whose purpose is to promote the educational, athletic and organizational opportunities available at the Academy. Visits to grade schools, the annual open house, and numerous other public relations functions are the responsibility of a student ambassador.
