Elmer McCulloughPRINCETON — Elmer Joseph McCullough, 72, of Princeton died Monday, June 9, 2008, at his home after a battle with cancer. He was born Dec. 8, 1935, in Spring Valley to William and Anna (Lamkin) McCullough. He graduated from Princeton High School and attended Bradley University. He was in the Army Reserve from 1953 to 1959, attaining the rank of staff sergeant. He worked as a pipefitter for most of his life. He was a past member of the Road Runner Club. Surviving are 10 children, Susan (Bob) Rowe-McCauley of Geneva, Bill (Sheila) McCullough and Matt McCullough, both of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Diana McCullough and Denise (Dennis) Morris, both of Princeton, Alan McCullough of LaSalle, Beverly Judge of Rolling Meadows, Mary McCullough of DePue, Ryan (Michele) McCullough of Madison, S.D., and Cory (LeAnn) McCullough of Ridgecrest, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; and a special friend, Susan Hamm. He was preceded in death by his parents and a stepfather, Carl Cundiff. A Celebration of Life service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Zearing Park Shelter, Princeton, with Pastor Ken Wilson officiating. Private cremation will be accorded. There will be no visitation.
