Fundraiser PRINCETON — Cub Scout Pack 4151 will hold a fundraiser garage and bake sale Friday and Saturday in the old children’s home gym at 448 Elm Place in Princeton. Red Hat lunch PRINCETON — The Red Hat “Reducation” Day lunch will be Saturday at the Ye Olde Underground Inn in Princeton. The cost is $10 inclusive. One Red Hatter will become royalty. Everyone is asked to dress in colors and jewels. The July 19 meeting has been rescheduled to today, Thursday. Cookout PRINCETON — The Princeton Gators sports team will have a cookout from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Sullivan’s in Princeton. The Gators participate in Special Olympics throughout the year, such as track and field, bowling, basketball and winter games. The celebrity chef will be “Cowboy” from WALS 102 FM radio. Hog roast BUDA — Buda Fire and Rescue will hold a hog roast and beer garden Saturday at Stewart Park in Buda. Food will be served from 4 to 8 p.m. and tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for ages 12 and under. The beer garden will run from 4 p.m. to midnight, with a band scheduled from 8 p.m. to midnight. There will be a cover charge for the beer garden and identification is required. Fireworks, sponsored by the Village of Buda, will be at dusk. Blood drive PRINCETON — The Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center will have a blood drive from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. July 3 in the fourth floor Multi-Purpose Room of Perry Memorial Hospital. Donors who last gave blood on or before May 8 are eligible. To donate, call MVRBC at (800) 747-5401, ext. 119. Book Club meeting PRINCETON — The Princeton Public Library Book Club will hold its next meeting at 4 p.m. July 10 in the community meeting room at the library. The group will discuss “On Agate Hill” by Lee Smith. The staff at library will assist anyone in borrowing this book from one of the other libraries in the system. Anyone is invited to join the group in discussing this book. The club is sponsored by Friends of Princeton Public Library. Bus trip PRINCETON — The Bureau County Metro Center in Princeton is coordinating an outing to Medieval Times in Schaumburg for July 10. The bus will leave the Metro Center at 8 a.m. for the 11 a.m. matinee jousting show and return at 3 p.m. A pizza meal will be served at the show. Tickets are $35 and include meal and transportation.
