M. Lee Brown

PRINCETON — M. Lee Brown, 73, of Princeton died Thursday, July 31, 2008, at St. Francis Medical Center.

Born Dec. 18, 1934, in Princeton to Merville and Ann (Thomas) Brown Sr., he married Carol Levisay April 29, 1967. She survives.

He attended Princeton High School and graduated from Valparaiso University with a political science degree. He was in the U.S. Army for two years. He worked for the Illinois DOT for 30 years as a civil engineering technician.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge, Princeton Booster Club, Ducks Unlimited, and was a longtime member of the Princeton Fish and Game Club.  He was a Mason, and a Shriner. He was an avid sportsman and outdoorsman.

Also surviving are two children, Adrienne (Alan) Erickson of Ottawa and Brett (Jill) Brown of Princeton; one sister,  Karen (Gary) Schnider of Montana; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Norberg Memorial Home, Pastor Jack Stites  officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
