Dean reunion

TISKILWA — Forty-four people attended the 71st Dean reunion at West Park in Tiskilwa July 27.

Merle Polson gave the table grace and then everyone enjoyed a picnic dinner. The tables were decorated with lilies from Pat and Merle Polson’s garden.

After the meal, president Pat Polson presided over the meeting. Recorded marriages were Emily Beaird to Brent Dean, July 26. Births were Braydyn Matthew Kruse to Amber Biddix and Julian Kruse; Cruise Nickolas Brolley to Jen and Nick Brolley; Nolan Eugene Stout to Aaron and Cassandra Stout; Gage Dennis David Nutter to Harry Nutter and Stephanie Feurer. No deaths were recorded.

Prizes were awarded in the following categories: Oldest man, Norman Dean; oldest woman, Mae Gall; youngest boy, Jack Lied; youngest girl, Megan Perryman; married the longest, Rayona and Ken Morris; recently married, Heather and Jason Lied; traveled the farthest, Rita and Roger Gibson from Trinity, Texas; most children present, Norman Dean.

Family members played games after the meeting. Jeff and Jacob Jacques won the water balloon toss.

The 72nd Dean reunion will be at 12:30 p.m. July 26, 2009 at the West Park in Tiskilwa. The 2009 officers are Anna Flaig, president; Dick and Ella Mahake, vice president and Alice Schindel, secretary.
