Lunch in the Park

PRINCETON — The next Lunch in the Park event will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at Soldiers and Sailors Park in Princeton. The Princeton Area Chamber of Commerce and Main Street will serve the meat and the Bureau County Senior Center will have the bake sale.

PHS alumni breakfast

‘Wicked’ trip

PRINCETON — The Bureau County Metro Center will sponsor a trip for all ages to the Oriental Theater in Chicago to see “Wicked” on Sept. 27. Departure time from the Metro Center is 9:30 a.m. and the fee is $95. The deadline to sign up is Sept. 15. For more information, call (815) 872-0840.

Meeting set

WYANET — The Wyanet Eagles will meet at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 2 at the Main Street BBQ. Lunch is on your own. Reservations are required by calling (815) 699-2222 or Irma Mechling at (815) 699-7739. All seniors 50 and over are welcome.

Fundraiser planned

PRINCETON — A fundraiser to benefit the Bureau County Health and Wellness Clinic will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Princeton Pizza Hut. The cost for the buffet will be $9 for adults, $5 for children 10 and under.

CPR course

SPRING VALLEY — St. Margaret’s Hospital and the American Heart Association will offer a CPR class at 6 p.m. Sept. 2 in the first floor Presentation Room at the hospital.
