New ... Cancellations announced

Northern Illinois felt the remnants of Hurricane Gustav, which rolled through the state Thursday and canceled the area’s sports schedule.

Cancellations reported to the BCR for today, Thursday, include:

The Princeton girls’ golf match at Wyaton Hills vs. Morton and Washington.

The Princeton boys’ golf match at Hunter’s Ridge vs. IVC has been postponed to Oct. 4.

The Princeton girls’ tennis meet vs. Rochelle, which has been rescheduled for  Monday.

The Bureau Valley boys’ golf match with Sterling Newman and Fulton.

The Hall boys’ golf match with Putnam County at Spring Creek.

Other area schedule changes have the Sept. 27 Princeton boys’ soccer game at Rockford Auburn changed to varsity only at 11:30 a.m. and Princeton’s Sept. 15 girls’ tennis meet at Geneseo switched from Sept. 15 to Sept. 29.
