Janean Wujek is Stanmar nursing scholarship winner

SPRING VALLEY — Janean Wujek of Granville was recently chosen as the winning applicant for the first annual $1,000 Margaret Stanmar Scholarship by St. Margaret’s Foundation Scholarship Committee. She attends Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis., and is in her freshman year in their nursing program.

Wujek is a recent graduate of Putnam County High School, where she excelled not only in the classroom with a superb GPA, but also on the sports field, on the stage and also in the halls, where she was never too busy to help out a fellow classmate.

She is the daughter of Dan and Katie Wujek of Granville and has two younger siblings. She hopes to earn her BSN degree and go on to become a nurse practitioner.
