Bimm family reunion held

PERU — The annual reunion of the descendants of Charles and Hazel (Bradley) Bimm of Wyanet was held Aug. 31 at the home of Gary and Peggy (Bimm) Olson of Peru. A potluck was served to the 40 family members.

Charles Bimm Jr., 83, of Peru was the oldest member present. The youngest member present was 18-month-old Eva Lee Glynn, the daughter of Ronnie and Bonnie (Bimm) Glynn of LaSalle.

The family genealogy was discussed and pictures exchanged. John Bimm, the great-great-grandfather of Charles Jr., came to the United States from Germany arriving in Pennsylvania in 1789.

Those in attendance were from Westchester, Chicago Heights, Ottawa, Utica, Jacksonville, Dover, Mendota, Princeton, Tiskilwa, Peru and LaSalle.
