MANLIUS — Bill Robbins has been named the 2008-09 DAR Good Citizen Award winner from Bureau Valley High School in Manlius.

The Princeton-Illinois Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution sponsors the Good Citizens’ Program for all high schools in Bureau County. The National Association of Secondary School Principals has placed this program on the National Advisory List of Contests and Activities for 2008-09.

Robbins is the son of Ron and Mary Robbins of Bradford. He was chosen by the faculty and senior class on the basis of the following criteria — dependability, service, leadership and patriotism. He has been on the honor roll throughout high school and was inducted into the National Honor Society as a junior.  He is active in various school and community activities. He would like to attend the University of Illinois to major in electrical engineering.
