The writer wrote profoundly, with fragments of United States’ history up to this election event. The letter was captioned, “Obama’s election will be an inspiration for generations.” President-Elect Barack Obama has accomplished an office in the United Sates of America of the highest esteem. Could Abraham Lincoln have ever imagined this for a man of African descent? However, I am deeply concerned and troubled because of Obama’s stand on the “key” issues. He stated, while a candidate, he would preserve women’s rights to have an abortion, Freedom of Choice Act. Also, Obama will allow taxpayers dollars to pay for abortions. Plus, he would block a bill to notify at least one parent, by the abortionist, of a minor girl. Following a bill in the Illinois Senate for protection for babies who survive an abortion, Obama voted no. Obama voted against confirming Chief Justice Roberts and Justice Alito. Obama supports stem cell research, gay marriage. Iraq? Shut down war in Iraq. Historically an unprecedented page in U.S. history. Historically an era of the culture of death. Charles Becker Walnut |
