Community NotesNew Year’s Eve party PRINCETON — The Bureau County Senior Center will host a New Year’s Eve party from 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 31. Games will be played, music will be playing and food will be served for a fun-filled afternoon. Root beer will be made again, along with hot cinnamon apple cider. Seniors are asked bring snacks such as chips, dip, cheese and crackers. The Center will provide a veggie tray. All Bureau County seniors are welcome to attend. Community coffee SHEFFIELD — The First United Church of Christ in Sheffield will host its monthly community coffee from 7 to 10 a.m. Jan. 3 in the UCC Parish Hall. Fresh-baked cinnamon rolls will be served. Bingo planned PRINCETON — Perry Memorial Hospital 60 Plus activities include bingo at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Jan. 12 and Feb. 9 in the PMH 60 Plus community room. Concert set LAMOILLE — The LaMoille Ministers’ Council will hold a sacred music concert performed by the 60-member Moody Bible Institute Symphonic Band at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 16 in the Allen Junior High School gymnasium on Main Street. A free-will offering for the Moody Bible Institute will be received during the concert. Fundraiser planned PRINCETON — The Princeton Public Schools Foundation will host a “Trivia Night” fundraiser on Feb. 21 at the Bureau County Metro Center in Princeton. The event will include teams of eight people per table answering questions by paper and pencil quiz style tests. Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased from any Foundation Board member starting in January. All proceeds will go to the Princeton Education Foundation. |
