Colmone advances to sectionals at Bradley

SPRING VALLEY — Hall High School WYSE team competed at the WYSE regional at Illinois Valley Community College on Feb. 6. Areas tested were English, mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, computer science and engineering graphics.
Hall senior Elizabeth Macias placed third in English and Meaghan Hendricks, senior, placed third in computer science. Dean Colmone, sophomore, placed second in computer science, earning the honor of competing at the sectional level of WYSE testing at Bradley University in March.
First- and second-place finishers at Bradley will advance to the state competition held at the University of Illinois.The Hall team placed fourth overall in the regional competition.
