Ames, 50, of Buda was indicted for the Class X felony of armed violence. He is accused of possessing with the intent to deliver more than 30 grams but less than 500 grams of cannabis while armed with a dangerous weapon on March 13. Ames is free from custody, having posted 10 percent of a $75,000 bond. An officer with the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team (TRI-DENT) testified before the grand jury. • Bernard L. Watts, 19, of Sheffield was indicted for the Class 3 felony of unlawful possession with intent to deliver cannabis. He is accused of possessing more than 30 grams but less than 500 grams of cannabis with the intent to deliver that cannabis on March 13. Watts is free from custody, having posted 10 percent of a $10,000 bond. A TRI-DENT officer testified before the grand jury. • Beatrice L. Rodriguez, 35, of Spring Valley was indicted for the Class 2 felony of unlawful possession of a controlled substance. She is accused of possessing with the intent to deliver less than one gram of heroin on March 19. Rodriguez is in custody with bond set at $35,000. A TRI-DENT officer testified before the grand jury. • Jame N. DeMattia, 36, of Spring Valley was indicted for the Class 2 felony of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver. He is accused of possessing with the intent to deliver less than one gram of heroin on March 19. He is in custody with bond set at $50,000. A TRI-DENT officer testified before the grand jury. • Michael A. Bentley, 32, of Mendota was indicted for the Class 4 felony of driving while license revoked/subsequent offense. He is accused of driving a motor vehicle on March 26 at a time when his driving privileges were revoked. Spring Valley Police Chief Mike Miroux testified before the grand jury. • Justin P. Miller, 18, of Princeton was indicted for the Class 3 felony of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon. He is accused of possessing a firearm on April 5 after he had been previously convicted of a felony. Miller is in custody with bond set at $20,000. Sgt. James Reed with the Bureau County Sheriff's Department, testified before the grand jury. • Jessica L. Winn, 21, of Dover was indicted for the Class 2 felony of possession of a stolen firearm. She is accused of possessing of a stolen firearm on April 5. Winn is in custody with bond set at $15,000. Sgt James Reed with the Bureau County Sheriff's Department testified before the grand jury. • Gregory W. Vance, 39, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was indicted for the Class 4 felony of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, cocaine. He is accused of possessing less than 15 grams of cocaine on April 7. Vance is in custody with bond set at $10,000. An Illinois State Police trooper testified before the grand jury. • Simone J. Bolum, 24, of Tiskilwa was indicted for the Class 4 felony of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, heroin. He is accused of possessing less than 15 grams of heroin on April 7. Bolum is in custody with bond set at $7,500. Walnut Police Chief Tom Ptasnik testified before the grand jury. The indictments were presented to the grand jury by Bureau County State's Attorney Patrick Herrmann and First Assistant State's Attorney Geno Caffarini. |
