PRINCETON — Open Prairie United Church of Christ will host a contemplative ecumenical worship service in honor of Earth Day at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church, 25 E. Marion St. in Princeton. Jewelry fair
PRINCETON — Perry Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will sponsor a $5 jewelry fair in the hospital’s north lobby from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 1. Proceeds will benefit needed equipment for the hospital.

Meeting set
PRINCETON — Professional Home Economists of Bureau County will meet for its annual meeting on April 30. Members should meet at 4:45 p.m. at Soldiers and Sailors Park in Princeton to car pool to Lacon for dinner at Kenyon’s Place. Reservations need to be made with Jean Scott by calling (815) 875-8561 by April 27. Any home economists in the area are welcome to attend.

Lunch meeting
PUTNAM — The Tri-City Women’s Connection will hold its lunch meeting at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Grecian Gardens in Chillicothe. The speaker for the event will be Judy Dagraedt. The cost is $11 and child care is available by reservation.

MS wellness event
PRINCETON — An interactive wellness program that consists of exercises tailored to an individual with Multiple Sclerosis and information about preventative physical therapy and how to access it will be presented to the public from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 2 in the Princeton High School auditorium and south gym. The guest speaker will be Dr. Matt Petry, who will speak from 10:30 to noon. Registration for the guest speaker will be from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Proceeds will go to the local Bureau County Support Group and the National MS Society Greater Illinois Chapter Chicago. March for Babies

Fundraiser set
PRINCETON — The Princeton Theatre Group will host a sneak peek at the renovation project going on in The Grace Performing Arts Center which houses Festival 56 from 7 to 10 p.m. May 1. This event is a fundraiser to benefit Festival 56 which is Illinois’ largest summer theatre festival. The center is at 316 S. Main St. in Princeton. Tickets are $35 per person and include hors d’oeuvres, desserts and a drink coupon. There will also be a cash bar. Space is limited.
