Willie Bishop

WYANET — Willie Jesse Bishop, 42, of Wyanet, died Friday, May 8, 2009, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born April 22, 1967, in Princeton to Clifford and Mary (Nally) Bishop. He graduated from Princeton High School in 1986.

Surviving are his life mate, Kiersten Hedgepeth of Wyanet; two brothers, David (Jennie) Bishop of Colchester, Conn., and Curtis Bishop of LaSalle; two stepsisters, Leslie Kuhn of Quinlan, Texas, and LuAnn (Dan) Baker-Elhridge of Malden; and two stepbrothers, Rodney Baker and Ronald (Teri) Baker of Emery, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford A. Bishop and Mary Baker; his stepfather, Max Baker; and one brother, Clifford Bishop.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Norberg Memorial Home, Princeton, with Brian Moore officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

The Princeton High School Tigers beat the Rock Falls Rockets Wednesday 66-55 during sectional play at Byron. The Tigers will now play the undefeated Winnebago Indians at 7:30 p.m. Friday for the sectional championship.
