Hall graduation
SPRING VALLEY — Hall High School will hold graduation ceremonies for the class of 2009 beginning at 7 p.m. today, Saturday, in Red Devil Gymnasium. There will be no reserved seating for this formal ceremony, and there are no tickets for seating. Entrance for this ceremony will be through the gym lobby doors only. Doors open at 6 p.m.
Wahlstrom open house
PRINCETON — Evangelical Covenant Church members will host a farewell open house for the Rev. Charles Wahlstrom and his family from 2 to 4 p.m. today, Saturday, at the church, 24 N. Main St. Wahlstrom, pastor of ECC since September 2004, will relocate to Steilacoom, Wash., to be pastor at the Oberlin Community Church. Everyone is invited to attend.
Princeton Coffeehouse
PRINCETON — Singer/songwriter Peter Mulvey will perform at the Princeton Coffeehouse at 7:30 p.m. May 23. Admission is $10 at the door. Doors open at 7 p.m. The Princeton Coffeehouse is located at the Open Prairie UCC Church, 25 E. Marion in downtown Princeton. The venue is completely accessible and there is ample free parking. Jaycees meeting
PRINCETON — The Princeton Jaycees will meet for its general membership meeting from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Princeton Room of the Prouty Building, 435 S. Main St. in Princeton. Anyone between the ages of 18 and 40 interested in learning about or joining the Princeton Jaycees is invited to attend. Garage sale
DEPUE — Friends of the Library in DePue will hold a community garage sage on Aug. 1 in the library parking lot. Spaces are available for rent and payment is due at sign up. Anyone wanting to rent or needing more information can call Rita at (815) 830-4416.
PHS reunion
PRINCETON — The Princeton High School Class of 1989 will hold its 20-year reunion beginning at 6 p.m. Sept. 12 at Hunter’s Ridge in Princeton. A cash bar will open at 6 p.m. and a buffet dinner will begin at 7 p.m. The cost is $30 per person or $60 per couple. Young Life benefit
PRINCETON — Hampshire Colony Church, 604 S. Church St. in Princeton, will hold a barbecue beef brisket dinner from 4:45 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday to raise money to help send Young Life members on their summer camping trips. The meal will include barbecue brisket, cheese potatoes, creamy coleslaw or baked beans, drinks and dessert. The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children’s half portion. Carryouts are available. There will also be a bake sale with homemade candies, cookies, cakes and pies available for purchase during the dinner hours.
