Fundraiser planned

PRINCETON — A fundraiser to raise money for a mission trip to Mongolia for Denice Lafferty of Princeton, will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Italian Express in Princeton. Tickets are $6 person, which includes all-you-can-eat spaghetti, garlic bread and soda. Denice is one of 10 people from Cup of Cold Water Ministries who will take part in the mission trip in August.

Lunch in the Park

PRINCETON — Lunch in the Park will be from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday at Soldiers and Sailors Park in Princeton. Open Prairie UCC will serve the meat, and the HCC Women’s Fellowship will have the bake sale.

Farmers’ market

PRINCETON — Bureau County farmers’ market vendors are fast at work preparing for opening day of the 2009 market. Saturday will serve as opening day to display Bureau County’s finest home grown products. June 2 will mark the first family night of the summer at the market. Family night will be the first Tuesday of each month through September. During the Family Night festivities, the Farm Bureau will sponsor a kids corner activity again this year and Chef Monika from Chestnut Street Inn in Sheffield will host cooking demonstrations beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Health fair

PRINCETON — The Bureau County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee will sponsor a health fair Wednesday at the Farm Bureau building in Princeton. Throughout the day, numerous tests will be offered through Life Line Screening. For information on the health fair, call the Farm Bureau at (815) 875-6468.
