Logan graduation set for June 2
PRINCETON — Graduation exercises for the eighth-grade class at Logan Junior High School, Princeton Elementary School District 115, will be at 7 p.m. June 2 at Princeton High School.
Certificates of promotion will be presented to the graduates by Steve Bouslog, president of the board of education; Tim Smith, superintendent; J.D. Orwig, Logan Junior High School principal; and Ellen Ringenberg, administrative assistant. The class roll will be presented by Julie Andris, Logan Junior High School faculty member.
Academic awards will be presented in the areas of math, penmanship, spelling, science and history. Other awards will include the American Legion awards, DAR award, Ann E. Larsen Award, Gertrude Parker Award, Robert E. Inks Award, Max Pannebaker Track Award, Citizenship Award, John Philip Sousa Award, Accent Award and the Robert D. Jesse Lion Heart Award.
The processional and recessional will be presented by the Logan Concert Band under the direction of Jennifer Abernathy. The Logan Concert Choir will also present choral selections under the direction of Brandon Stover.
The public is invited to attend. Anyone needing handicapped seating are encouraged to arrive early as there is limited seating. No seating reservations will be taken.
