Risinger announces road projects for 2010

SPRINGFIELD — More than $77.2 million has been allocated for road and bridge improvements in the 37th Senate District during Fiscal Year 2010, according to State Sen. Dale Risinger.

Risinger released details of local projects included in Illinois' road plan. The six-year plan also includes an additional $235.69 million for local roads and bridges.

Bureau County projects scheduled for Fiscal Year 2010 include $4,425,000 for bridge replacement on Wyanet Road at the IAIS Railroad and Hennepin Canal at the south edge of Wyanet; $1,580,000 to resurface 5.91 miles on Route 92 from the east corporate limit of Walnut;  $750,000 to resurface 1.08 miles of Route 92/North Street, from west of Yerk Street to east of Valley View Drive in Walnut; $490,000 for microsurfacing and seal coat on Route 34 from the Henry County line to north of Buda Road; $310,000 for microsurfacing and seal coat on Route 92, from Route 40 to the west corporate limit of Walnut; $200,000 for engineering costs for a project on Wyanet Road at the IAIS Railroad and Hennepin Canal at the south edge of Wyanet.
