BRADFORD — Amanda Stoner, daughter of Jeffrey and Machelle Stoner of Bradford, attended Girls’ State at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston in June. Stoner is a junior at Stark County High School. She has participated in FCCLA and was a volunteer helper for the junior class concession stand. She also helped with the Veteran’s Day celebration at Stark County High School and was chosen to lead the student body in the reading of the Gettysburg Address in celebration of President Lincoln’s 200th birthday.

Amanda has been a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for the elderly in Stark County, and donates her time at both the senior citizen center and Courtyard Estates. She has also participated in the Old Settlers Association pageant.

After graduating from Stark County High School, Stoner will attend a junior college and then a four-year university. She is sponsored by the Bradford American Legion Auxiliary and partially funded by the Bradford Chapter of the Beta Sigma Phi.
