Ladd Village Board 5-12
LADD — The Ladd Village Board took action on the following items at its meeting May 12:
• Accepted the bid of $19,571.97 from A.C. Pavement Striping to resurface East Cleveland Street from the railroad track to the Spring Creek Bridge.
• Accepted the proposal of $14,025.90 from J.W. Ossola Co. for the replacement of a manhole at Cedar and Hennepin Streets.
• Purchased four arc-flash suits from HD Utilities for $2560.
• Purchased a used Vermeer wood chipper for $11,500.
• Received the police department’s activity report for April.
• Adopted an ordinance authorizing the issuance of up to $900,000 sewerage revenue bonds for the purpose of defraying the cost of acquiring, constructing and installing sewer facilities.
• Approved the Ladd CIA’s liquor license for Summer Fest for July 9-11.
• Adopted a resolution recognizing Jim Bernardi for his 12 years of service as Ladd village trustee.
• Announced the receipt of a $1,000 donation from Ladd’s 75th Anniversary Committee. The donation will be used toward the purchase of new trees on Main Street.
• Heard a finance committee meeting would be held at 9 a.m. on June 6 in the village hall to discuss wages and insurance for village employees.
• Heard an IMEA Power Cost and Energy Efficiency Forum would be held in Princeton June 11.
• Approved a $25 cart sponsorship for the Jimmy D Golf Day.
• Tabled decisions to accept a proposal to perform a rate/cost of service study and to purchase a 2500kva back-up transformer until the next meeting.
• Recognized Trustee Barry Flanagan for his donation of material and labor on the construction of the handicapped-accessible ramp railing in front of the American Legion.
