Princeton City Council 6-1

PRINCETON — The Princeton City Council conducted the following business at its June 1 meeting in city hall:

• Seated city commissioners Joni Hunt, Bob Warren and Terry Madsen after receiving oaths of office from City Clerk Clyde Wray.

• Adopted an identity theft prevention program, as required by the Federal Trade Commission, to protect customers of the city’s utilities.

• Approved temporary beer licenses to the Princeton Jaycees to operate beer gardens during the Sept. 11-13 Homestead Festival weekend.

• Approved ordinance to buy two 1,500kVA transformers for the sum of $32,332 from Deco Supply Company of Louisville, Ky.

• Approved ordinance to buy one 1,000kVA transformer, at a cost of $11,621 from the Deco Supply Company.

• Announced the city will go out for bids for a hybrid bucket truck for the electric department. Bids are to be returned no later than 1 p.m. June 17 to city hall.

• Announced the city will go out for bids for a five-ton crane for the power plant. Bids are to be turned in by 1 p.m. June 17 to city hall.
