Draytons will note 40th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Marlow Drayton of 27956 1025 E St., Walnut, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at White Pines Inn Restaurant in Mount Morris on June 13.

Marlow A. Drayton and the former Wanda A. Richmond were married June 14, 1969, at the Walnut United Methodist Church. They are the parents of one daughter, Ann (Dave) Berry of Walnut. They also have one grandson, Matthew Berry, also of Walnut.

Marlow was a former co-owner of Walnut Components Inc. in Princeton until his retirement in 1996. He farms part time, owns and operates a portable sawmill, and enjoys woodworking. Wanda is a retired teacher from the Bureau Valley School District in Walnut. She retired in 2000 after teaching for 30 years, many of which were spent at the Walnut Grade School. She enjoys quilting and reading. They are both active members of the Walnut United Methodist Church.
