Hewitts will celebrate 60th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Hewitt of Manlius will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner.

Clayton Hewitt and the former Elaine Nelson were married June 19, 1949, at the New Bedford Christian Church. They are the parents of two children, Lori (Rick) Owens and Rob (Kelli) Hewitt. They also have four granddaughters, Cassie, Stephanie, Dannielle and Taylor Hewitt, and one great-grandson, Bradley Russel.

Clayton farmed and also worked at Michlig Ag. He served in U.S. Army. Elaine worked at an Army base, Kraft Foods and Perry Memorial Hospital. Together they have traveled to every state in the United States proper, missing Alaska. They enjoy camping with Bureau Valley Sams, playing cards with friends and gardening. Attending Trinity Lutheran Church keeps them focused and active, ushering, quilting and serving in other ways.
