Cast announcedLASALLE — The cast has been announced for Stage 212’s Summer 2009 musical production “The Producers,” by Mel Brooks. “The Producers” is adapted by Brooks, along with Thomas Meehan, from his own 1968 film comedy about two Broadway producers scheming to get rich by deliberately producing a flop. Brooks also provides the music and lyrics for this memorable musical comedy extravaganza. Cast in the roles of Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom are Doug Bartelt and Adam Barr. Also featured are Becky Martin as Ulla, Tom Foust as Franz Liebkind, Phil Grant as Roger DeBris and Andy Strickler as Carmen Ghia. Joining them on stage are Rob Tyne, Mark Fulkerson, Cliff Peddicord, Maryhelen Bidasio, Abby Bertrand, Molly Mauck, Emily Brodzik, Marie Batty, Tyler Reviglio, Sue Yopchick, Kevin Alleman, Erich Jauch, Joseph Mauck, Katie Brodzik, Stephenie Mateika, Kat Siska, Aubrey Smigel, Jessi Spear, Claire Wojciechowski and Casey Kasprowicz “The Producers” will be presented July 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 (two shows), 26, 28, 29, 30, 31, Aug. 1 (two shows) and 2 at Stage 212, 700 First St., LaSalle. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday matinees begin at 2 p.m. Tickets will be available to the general public for $16 apiece beginning June 29. Box office hours are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, 3 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Tickets may be reserved over the phone with Visa, MasterCard or Discover.
