Donate for Princeton fireworks

PRINCETON — Donations are still being accepted for the Fourth of July fireworks display sponsored by the Princeton Jaycees in conjunction with the city of Princeton.

Linnea Campbell, treasurer of the Princeton Jaycees, said, “As expected with the economy this year, donations are down from past years. We do hope to still receive some donations in these last days before the show to cover the amount of the show.”

In previous years, the Princeton Jaycees fireworks display has cost around $12,500. This year, the Jaycees have scaled that back, but it will still be a fantastic show. Anyone who would like to donate toward the fireworks display may send donations to: Princeton Jaycees, P.O. Box 142, Princeton, IL 61356.

The display will be July 4 at dusk, or around 9:20 p.m., at Zearing Park in Princeton.
