Kelehers will celebrate 50th anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. John “Jack” Keleher of Rock Falls will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. July 5 in Friendship Hall at the Walnut Christian Church.
Jack Keleher and the former Delora Beaber were married Sept. 20, 1959, at the Community Church in Kasbeer. They lived in Walnut from the time of their marriage until 1978, when they moved to Rock Falls, where they still reside.
They are the parents of two sons, Michael (Michaele) of California and Daniel (Carole) of New Hampshire. They also have one granddaughter, Jackie of New Hampshire; and two stepgrandchildren, Jonathen Hein of Grayslake and Jennifer Hein of California.
Delora was the owner/operator of her own beauty shop in Walnut, and worked in advertising for a local newspaper in Rock Falls. Jack worked 35 years for the Illinois State Police, retiring as captain of District 1 (East Moline). He then served another 10 years as bailiff for the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office.
All friends and family are invited to attend. The couple requests that gifts be omitted.
