First-ever Poker/Fun Run
PRINCETON — The first-ever Princeton Elks Children's Care Poker/Fun Run will be July 19.
The sign-in and start/finish are at the Ye Olde Underground Inn, 219 S. Sixth St. in Princeton. Additional stops include Kewanee, Toulon, Henry and Spring Valley. The cost is $25/couple or $15/person. There will be prizes, 50/50 drawings, food and of course…fun!
All vehicles are welcome and all proceeds will be used locally to support Elks Children’s Care projects. Throughout the year, Elks Children's Care Corporation sponsors free orthopedic diagnostic clinics at Perry Memorial Hospital for those who do not have private health insurance. Additionally, this service assists children with orthopedic problems up to age 21. This may include supplementary care, necessary therapy and orthopedic appliances. Financial assistance is also a possibility.
Since its inception in 1868, the Benevolent & Protective Order of the Elks has dedicated and focused on activities that improve communities across the country with programs targeted towards America's youth and veterans. For more information, call the Lodge at (815) 875-2185.
